Sketch Released After Man Beat With Billy Clubs in Deerfield Beach

Officials released a sketch hoping to find the two men that beat a Deerfield beach man with billy clubs in June.

Broward detectives have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of a beating with a billy club in Deerfield Beach.

The suspect, accompanied by another man, knocked on 46-year-old victim Nicholas Gouzoulis' door just after 10 p.m. on June 21, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The two men beat Gouzoulis on the head, face and arms with billy clubs, BSO said. Gouzoulis collapsed to the floor, and the two kept beating him until Gouzoulis' girlfriend, 29-year-old Amanda Ervin heard them, according to BSO.

The men drove off in a silver, late-model Buick Enclave, officials said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact BSO Detective Scott Nida at 954-480-4300 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
