Mother Ordered Daughter, 12, to Punch Woman in the Face After Gas Station Fight: Cops

Authorities said Randa St. Cyr told them that she got out of her car at a Sunoco gas station at 831 West Sunrise Boulevard to pump gas, Juett started sceaming at her to pull her car up further, the offense report said.

A mother was held without bond on Friday after authorities say she ordered her 12-year-old daughter to strike a woman in the face after the two women argued at a gas station.

Quacheena Juett, 33, of Fort Lauderdale, faces several charges after her Thursday arrest,  including burglary, contributing to the delinquency or dependency of a child, resisting without violence and dealing in stolen property. She was being held without bond on a probation violation.

After Judge John Hurley read the allegations against her in court on Friday, Juett said: "No. That's not true."

The alleged victim, Randa St. Cyr, said that when she got out of her car on Aug. 17 at a Sunoco gas station at 831 West Sunrise Boulevard to pump gas, Juett started screaming at her to pull her car up further, the offense report said.

St. Cyr told Juett that she needed to wait until she was finishing filling her car up and then she would move, the report said. Meanwhile, Juett and her daughter allegedly got out of their car.

"The mother told her 12 year old daughter to "handle that" when the juvenile struck the victim in the face with a closed fist," the report said.

When Juett saw St. Cyr walking back to her car to call police, Juett ran to the woman's car and took her cell phone, the report said.

Mother and daughter then got into their car and drove off, authorities said. But a gas station clerk saw the whole incident and it was captured on surveillance video. Police were able to locate the duo from the GPS on St. Cyr's iPhone, which Juett had taken, the report said.

Officials said the mother's behavior is troubling.

"It's startling to see that a mother who's supposed to be the role model for this child is telling this child to seek violence, and there's no explanation for it," said Ft. Lauderdale Police Spokeswoman Deanna Greenlaw.

At some point, the Department of Children and Families got involved but it wasn't clear how.

Judge Hurley read in court that several days after the incident, Juett pawned the phone off.

He also ordered Juett to have no direct or indirect contact with St. Cyr.
