South Florida Mother Arrested After Young Son Left Alone at Chuck E. Cheese's

A South Florida mother was arrested after police say she left her young child alone at Chuck E. Cheese's.

Sharon Demetra Perry, 25, was arrested early Sunday on a charge of child neglect, according to an arrest report.

The report said Perry's 2-year-old son was found by a witness sitting in a booth by himself in a Chuck E. Cheese in Boynton Beach.

Perry told police she arrived at the business with a group of nine children and six adults for a party. She said that due to a carpooling situation, she didn't realize her son had been left behind until she got back to her home in Riviera Beach, the report said.

The report said the boy was left alone for about an hour.

Perry was booked into jail where she was being held on $3,000 bond Monday, records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
