A teen suspect is in police custody after bailing out of a stolen car and jumping a chase in an attempt to run from officers in northeast Miami-Dade.
Miami-Dade Police say they spotted the stolen, newer model blue Honda Civic around 4 a.m. in the area of 146th Street and Northeast Second Court.
The 16-year-old driver ignored police commands to stop.
NBC 6 cameras were there when the suspect pulled into a dead end street and bailed out of the car. The suspect was seen jumping a fence as officers ran toward him.
After a brief foot chase, the teen was taken into police custody. He's been charged with third-degree grand theft of a vehicle.
