Teen Accused of Killing 10-Year-Old Charged as Adult

A teen accused of shooting and killing a South Florida 10-year-old will be charged as an adult.

Kahleb Newkirk, 15, faced a judge in bond court on Tuesday charged with second degree murder for the death of Marlon Eason.

Eason died in a drive-by shooting right in front of his house in the 1900 block of Northwest 4th Court in Miami.

Police arrested Newkirk and another defendant in connection with Eason's murder.

On Tuesday, Newkirk was transferred from juvenile detention to adult bond court. The judge gave him no bond.

He will now go before another judge on Wednesday morning for his arraignment.
