Two men are behind bars after Hialeah detectives say the pair broke into a home Thursday night and killed the family pet.
Luis Jimenez, 18, and Sadiel Iglesias, 19, were arrested Friday for a residential burglary at W. 11th Avenue in Hialeah.
During the alleged break-in, Jimenez and Iglesias killed a 6 year old Yorkshire Terrier.
The two teens were charged with residential burglary, animal cruelty, grand theft and criminal mischief.
Police also suspect Jimenez and Iglesias to be involved in other thefts and burglaries in the area.
It's not clear if they have hired attorneys.
