Temps to Reach Mid 80s Friday in South Florida

Some thunderstorms could develop Friday evening

Wake up temperatures in South Florida will range from the upper 60s inland to lower 70s along the coast Friday.

Morning sunshine will raise temps into the lower 80s by noon and mid 85 for highs early afternoon.

After sun and scattered clouds this morning, expect increasing afternoon clouds. Spotty showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and persist occasionally overnight and into Saturday.

The first half of the weekend will likely feature blustery showers. Scattered showers will taper off during the second half of the day.  Although it will not rain at all times, the chance for showers will sit at 40 percent. Easterly winds will increase up to 25 mph, causing dangerous rip currents to form.

It will stay breezy Sunday with winds up to 20 mph. The rip current risk will be high, but the weather more cooperative for outdoor plans. At this time it looks like Sunday will be dry and partly to mostly sunny.  Highs will reach the lower 80s both days this weekend.
