Two Injured In Coral Springs Car vs. Pole Crash

Coral Springs Fire Department rescued a man from his car after he ran into a pole Tuesday night.

According to Coral Springs Police, the man was headed east on the 8900 block of Sample Road in Coral Springs when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the median into the westbound lanes, crashing into a pole.

The lone passenger in the vehicle managed to free himself from the wreckage. He was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver, on the other hand, required extensive rescue efforts from Coral Springs Fire Department in order to be freed from the mangled car.

Crews airlifted the injured driver to Broward Health North for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The current conditions of both the driver and the passenger are not yet known.

Police have determined that both speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
