While their football teams won’t meet until the end of November, the University of Florida got their first bragging rights of 2019 over their rivals from Florida State University when it comes to which institution is the top party school in the state.
The annual rankings from the Princeton Review has the Gators coming in at No. 16 out of the 385 schools ranked while the Seminoles were just two spots lower at No. 18.
Both schools went up in the rankings from last year, when UF came in at No. 18 and FSU was ranked No. 19.
Princeton Review produces the rankings in their yearly publication of the best schools, using a formula based on the use of alcohol and drugs at the school along with other items like the number of hours spent outside of class time and the popularity of fraternities and sororities on campus.
Syracuse University was ranked as the top party school followed by the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa, the University of Delaware, West Virginia University and Tulane University rounding out the top five.
FSU had five rankings in the top 10 – including students in Greek life, best health services and having the top ranking for athletic facilities – while UF’s highest ranking was No. 7 in the category concerning the amount of beer on campus.
