A suspected thief couldn't handle the spotlight when he was confronted by the man he allegedly stole from while holding the stolen item in Deerfield Beach.
Broward Sheriff's Deputies say Paulino Gutierrez was on his way home Sunday night when he noticed a man walking with a concrete saw that looked a lot like one he owned.
Gutierrez went home and found that his saw was indeed missing.
He took to the streets, and located the suspect again near the 4000 block of Northwest Third Avenue in Deerfield Beach.
Gutierrez took out his cell phone and began filming the man, threatening to call authorities over the stolen saw.
The thief tried to smooth talk his way out of it, claiming the saw actually belonged to a friend. Eventually, the thief dropped the saw and admitted to stealing it.
The suspect tried to snatch away the phone and eventually ran off.
