Video of Plantation Jewelry Store Theft Released

Police are looking for as many as five suspects in a jewelry store theft in Plantation that was caught on camera.

Video released Thursday shows the theft of a necklace from Matthews Jewelers at 157 N. Nob Hill Road Tuesday.

Police said a man and two women entered the store and pretended to shop for jewelry. They then ran out of the store with a tennis necklace with 161 diamonds worth $43,900, police said.

According to police, the owner of the store shot at the suspects as they fled. No injuries were reported.

Although the video shows only three suspects, two more could be involved, police said. Two cars, a Pontiac Grand Prix and a possible Toyota Camry are also involved.
