Sunny weather is in the forecast for South Florida this weekend, and there are plenty of events taking place in surrounding areas. Here's a look at some happenings that you may want to check out:

Midnight Breakfast

Breakfast for dinner could be the start of a new foodie trend. Veza Sur Brewing Company will be hosting their first-ever late-night breakfast pachanga. Enjoy a pint of their new Sourdough Breakfast Ale and pair it with a breakfast menu item. Emily Elyse Miller, author of BREAKFAST: The Cookbook, will be on hand to chat about her book and sign copies.

Float-in theater

Enjoy Shark Week from the waters this weekend. Oleta River Outdoor Center in North Miami will be screening the shark thriller, "The Meg" on a 14-foot inflatable screen. Moviegoers have a choice between watching from the beach or from the park's outdoor center.

Miami Takeover Festivities

Using the beaches of South Beach as their backdrop for the 12th year, "The Miami Takeover Experience For The New Generation of Young Urban Professional Travelers," returns. The three-day weekend features parties and networking event. The kick-off event includes a masquerade party at Nikki Beach. The City of Miami Beach will be imposing new safety rules ahead of the event.
