Women Accused of Armed Carjacking in Hialeah: MDPD

Two women accused of carjacking a man at gunpoint are being held behind bars without bond Friday.

Miami-Dade Police said Dairene Carrion, 25, and Ileana Bauta, 35, approached a man in the area of West 29th Street and 11th Avenue in Hialeah. They allegedly demanded him to get in his car at gunpoint and drive them to a parking lot a few blocks away.

Police said the women then carjacked him, made him smoke some type of unknown substance and dropped him off near Okeechobee Road.

The victim said he was disoriented and fell asleep on the side of the road. When he woke up, the victim called police.

Carrion and Bauta face armed robbery charges. It's unknown whether they have attorneys.
