World's Largest Cruise Ship Arrives in Miami

The Symphony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world, has arrived at its home port in Miami.

Royal Caribbean’s newest ship will sail year-round 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries out of PortMiami beginning November 17th.

The 18-deck ship features a plethora of amenities including a zipline, surf simulators, laser tag, multiple waterslides, rock climbing walls and much more. 

The ship also has different neighborhoods, such as the Boardwalk, which has a sports bar, an arcade, a merry go round, and a variety of restaurants and shops. Also found on the Boardwalk is the ship’s AquaTheater, which is an open-air theater which features acrobatic and aquatic performances. 

The ship introduced a two-story Ultimate Family Suite on this ship. The suite can hold eight guests and includes an in-suite slide, air hockey table, building block wall and “Royal Genie” concierge.

Cruise ships are known for their dining and there is a variety of options aboard this ship. In addition to the traditional room service, buffets and dining room options, the Symphony has new restaurants including Hooked Seafood, and made to order Mexican “street fare” at El Loco Fresh.

The official naming ceremony for the Symphony of the Seas will take place November 15th. The event will be hosted by the ship’s Godfamily, actors Carlos and Alexa PenaVega.

The ship has more than 2,700 staterooms and can hold well over 5,500 guests.
