An SUV smashed into a Houston restaurant at lunch time Wednesday, plowing through a dining room full of customers and pinning one against a buffet, police say.
Nine people were injured when the driver, who was apparently trying to park, accidentally hit the gas pedal and instead surged into Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet just before 2 p.m., NBC affiliate KPRC reported.
Surveillance video showed diners scattering Wednesday afternoon as the vehicle plowed into the buffet.
Store security video shows at least one man being pinned to the buffet by the SUV, which reversed and then briefly rolled forward again before stopping.
