A Carnival Cruise Lines crew member was airlifted from a cruise ship to a New Orleans hospital after she fell and hit her head on deck, the Coast Guard said in a news release Saturday, NBC News reported. According to the statement, a Coast Guard helicopter picked up the 34-year-old Indonesian woman, who is currently in stable condition, around 11:20 a.m. from the Carnival Conquest, located 172 miles southeast of New Orleans. According to the release, the ship will arrive in New Orleans tomorrow as previously scheduled.
