Miami Police Searching for Suspects Believed to be Involved in Multiple Armed Robberies

Miami Police are looking for two people they say may have committed multiple armed robberies in the same part of the city earlier this month – including one where a victim was shot.

The first crime took place in the early morning hours of October 5th. The victim says he was robbed at gunpoint near the intersection of SW 1st Avenue and 12th Street.

One week later, three people were held up at the same intersection – only this time, the gunman begin to open fire and hit one of the victims.

In both cases, the gunman was described as a black man between 23 and 25 years old, clean shaven between 5’8” and 5’11” tall. In the first case, the suspect was wearing a dark hat, shirt and pants while the suspect in the second case was wearing a hooded black shirt, pants and shoes.

The second suspect in the first case was said to be a black woman between 21 and 23 years old, between 5’4” and 5”5” and wearing dark shorts and shirt. The victims of the second case were not able to give identification.

In both cases, the suspects got away in a silver Chrysler and fled westbound on 12th Street.

Investigators continue to examine whether the same people were involved in both cases. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami Police or CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
