Sour Developers Protest Candy Crush

App developers are striking back against the creators of popular smartphone game "Candy Crush Saga," creating hundreds of games with similar names as part of a "Candy Jam" protest. The retaliation came after the developers of Candy Crush, King Digital Entertainment, started sending letters to other developers warning that they had infringed on King's intellectual property rights with their game names. King has also moved to register the trademark for the word "candy," prompting other developers to fire back with an onslaught of Candy Crush-parody games such as "Candy Princess Saga: Crush King Trademark!" and "This Game Is Not About Candy."
