Goodbye Gene Hackman, err, Phil Scolari, we hardly knew ye. On Monday Chelsea, which has dropped to fourth in the Premier League table, fired the Brasilian after seven months on the job.

All season there have been persistent rumors of behind-the-scenes dissent at Chelsea and apparently after Saturday's 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge against Hull City the bottom fell out for Scolari. Now, expect tons of rumors floating around for the next permanent manager at Chelsea. The list will likely include just about every manager in the world not settled a top club, with the early favorite ex-Blue hero Gianfranco Zola, currently coaxing West Ham up the table.
