Members of the U.S. bobsled team wore a rubber band during their final run to honor late teammate Steven Holcomb. Holcomb’s mother was on hand to cheer on the team. Cadue Bascue piloted the sled with the fastest time in the four-man, finishing ninth.

The Olympics are an opportunity for a host country to showcase its athletes, but also its culture. In 2018, all eyes are on South Korea and its rich history. NBC takes you beyond the displays at the opening and closing ceremonies, and into Seoul, Gangneung province and the Demilitarized Zone.

After making Olympic history as the first U.S. woman to land a triple axel during the figure skating competition, Mirai Nagasu is looking forward to new opportunities, which might include “Dancing With the Stars.”

The U.S. women had a disappointing showing in figure skating in Pyeongchang. Their struggles in the short program carried over into the free skate.

Mirai Nagasu’s parents closed their restaurant to travel to Pyeongchang to watch their daughter’s final performance. Nagasu did not get enough lift to complete her triple axel, but finished with a combined score of 186.54 and took home a bronze medal from the team event.

Bradie Tennell dressed up as Cinderella, her favorite Disney princess, for her last performance in these Games. Tennell started out strong but stumbled with a few of her tricks in the middle of her routine, earning 192.35 points overall.

Team USA’s David Wise and Alex Ferreira took home gold and silver in the men’s freeski halfpipe event. The pair medaled after near-perfect runs. Wise scored 97.20 points and Ferreira scored 96.40.
