FWC Officer Bobby Dube poses with one of the "brown sugar" marijuana bales found in the Atlantic Ocean near the Florida Keys.
Around 100 pounds of marijuana in sacks labeled "brown sugar" have been found floating in the Atlantic Ocean by authorities in the Florida Keys the past couple days, officials said.
Officers with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard have been searching for the bales the past couple days, the FWC said.
The bales, labeled "100% Jamaican Cane Sugar," have been scattered over a large area, the FWC said.
Authorities are asking anyone who comes across the square grouper to call law enforcement authorities.
