A man who opened fire on a crowd in North Miami was arrested after he was chased down by some of the victims he shot at, police said. Police spokesman Maj. Neal Cuevas comments.

Cuevas said Holmes, who had been involved in some sort of dispute on Thursday, came out of his apartment and opened fire on six people. All the bullets missed and the suspect fled the scene in a car.

Some of the people who had been shot at followed Holmes and he was eventually stopped on I-95 near the Broward Boulevard exit and was taken into custody, Cuevas said.

Police are still investigating the incident and were questioning at least three other people, Cuevas said.

"He was not only aiming at these people, he was also shooting indiscriminately, meaning that anyone that would have been in the path of those projectiles would have been struck and killed probably," Cuevas said. "We're very fortunate that no one, including the six people who were in the parking lot, were struck."

Holmes is being held on $6,000 bond.
