On Monday and Wednesday evenings, more than 100 people gather to practice yoga in an ideal setting - Downtown Miami's Bayfront Park.

“It's beautiful, the bay front here. You get the sea breeze from the bay. It's amazing,” she said.
Most of the participants come straight from work to decompress. But yoga is much more than an opportunity to unwind, explains instructor Jannee Alt.
“Yoga helps you with your strength, your balance your focus your peace,” she said.
Who knew yoga could also keep your finances in balance? That’s a nice incentive for Noah Youngstrom, a former self-described gym rat.
He's been coming to Yoga in the Park for more than two years.
“My friends would always tell me to try yoga and i thought it was just like stretching you know," Youngstrom said. "And then one day they forced me to go and it's just so challenging, and I was sore in places I've never been.”
Since Yoga in the Park started in September 2005, 60,000 people have participated, organizers estimated.
People at all different levels come to these classes because there's no pressure to strike the perfect pose.
“So you just practice breathing and moving with your body and working with your limitations and respecting your limitations so you don't hurt yourself,” Alt said.
Three chances throughout the week to attend free classes also allows participants to be flexible.
Bayfront Park hosts free yoga at 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. Saturdays.
Classes are also free at Flamingo Park on South Beach, Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.
Then there’s Lululemon in South Miami. The athletic apparel store transforms into a yoga studio on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
