Britney-Tattooed Pink Chihuahua Thief Nabbed

Arrest made in Wilton Manors dognapping case

There may have been no "America's Most Wanted"-type search, but when a pink Chihuahua is stolen by a Britney Spears-tattooed thief in South Florida, cops aren't gonna stop until they get their man.

Channing Reynolds, 34, has been arrested in Pennsylvania and will be extradited to Broward County to face dognapping charges, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Reynolds is accused of stealing Hudson Hayward Hemingway, a 10-month-old pup which is light cream-colored with a pink belly, pink ears and pink earrings.

Hudson's owner, Brian Dortort, said his beloved pink pooch was stolen from him in July during a party at Wilton Manors gay bar Georgie's Alibi by a man with Britney Spears' name tattooed on either his neck or arm.

Dortort said he let the man hold Hudson briefly, and as soon as he turned around the dog and the specialty bag he was in were gone.

Police say the thief is Reynolds, who was arrested  in January on DUI-related charges in Pennsylvania. A warrant had been issued for Reynolds last September, but authorities weren't able to locate him.

"I'm thrilled that the suspect has been arrested, I couldn't understand why no one could catch him," Dortort, 48, told the Sun-Sentinel.

Reynolds could be extradited as early as this week.

In the meantime, Dortort has received a new Chihuahua, which he named Hudson Hayward Hemingway II.
