Robber Flew the Coop With My Bird: Victim

Hialeah woman says thieves stole her 30-year-old pet bird

Hialeah police are on a bird hunt after a woman claims her beloved pet macaw was stolen out of her house by some fowl bandits.

Charlene Bradley claims a man specifically targeted Jack, a 30-year-old Macaw with a talent for calling in pizza orders, as he sat on his perch outside her home Wednesday.

The thief threw a towel over the bird's head and then high-tailed it to a waiting get-away car as Bradley's roommate watched in horror. he gave chase, but the robbers had already flown the coop.

"My son is gone. He has to come home for my health and sanity," Bradley told WSVN.

The bird can talk, but only to Bradley, she claims, so the thief might be out of luck if he is looking for conversation. He also knows how to call for pizza, thin crust we presume.

Bradley has owned Jack since she was 17 and is  concerned the bird's health will deteriorate if he isn't back in familiar surroundings.

She is offering a $1,000 reward for his safe return.

Anyone with information on the birdnapping, should call call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
