11/12/13 the Right Wedding Date for South Florida Couple

Daniel Falcone and Sivon Keller got married at the Broward County Courthouse Tuesday for a very specific reason: 11/12/13.

Like many couples around the nation, the South Florida pair chose a date for their nuptials that they’ll always remember.

“We’re number people, and we thought there was something very magical about it, so we were lucky that it was around the corner, so we chose it,” said the bride.

She is taking on her husband’s last name, but that might take some getting used to. After their wedding in a civil ceremony at the courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, she initially told the media that her name is Sivon Keller, then realized that it’s now Falcone.

After a brief ceremony that included their vows and three kisses, they took a picture by a cheery “Just Married” sign.

Daniel Falcone said it’s a date he’ll never forget.

“How can you?” he asked. “1-2-3, 11-12-13, absolutely. It’s great.”

The day was a long time coming. The groom said they used to date about 20 years ago, but they’ve been planning for the wedding for about two years.

Someone asked him how it feels to be married.

“Oh, it’s wonderful. I’m with the love of my life,” he said. “It’s taken a long time to get here. We chose this date because it’s special to us, so we did it!”

“We did it!” Sivon Falcone said, at the same time that her husband continued, “We’re here!”

“We’re happy!” he added, beaming at his bride.
