An 18-year-old was injured in a drive-by shooting near a Miami-Dade park Wednesday night, officials said.
Sergio Emanuel Franco was walking to his car near McMillan Park when a dark colored vehicle drove by and started shooting. Franco was struck in the leg and transported to Kendall Regional Hospital. He is expected to recover, authorities said.
The shooter fled in an unknown direction. It’s unclear whether the gunman knew Franco.
