Two men were taken to hospitals with trauma injuries after a shooting at a Lauderhill apartment building Wednesday, authorities said.

One of the victims was airlifted at about 6 p.m. following the shooting at 5735 Northwest 27th Court, Lauderhill Police spokesman Lt. Greg Solowsky said.

The second victim was able to get up and run and was located at 5714 Northwest 28th Street, according to police. Each man was shot at least once.

"Both victims were alert, conscious and breathing when they were transported to local hospitals, one was taken by ground, one was taken by air," Solowsky said.

Police are looking for the gunman. They are getting different descriptions of the suspect from witnesses, Solowsky said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
