No. 1 - A Miami Gardens man was arrested after his girlfriend's son sustained severe burns while under his watch, police said.
Khalil Jabali, 23, was arrested Sunday and faces a charge of aggravated child abuse, according to a police report. Jabali was watching his girlfriend's two children while she was at work when her 4-year-old son woke up Jabali because he urinated on himself, the report said.
No. 2 - Police are looking for a woman who may have stolen from a Target Superstore in Miramar more than once, and on one occasion, even got into a tug-of-war with an employee.
Surveillance cameras captured the grand theft on Jan. 29 at the store on Miramar Parkway. An employee gets into a scuffle with the woman, who police say was trying to push a cart filled with stolen electronics out of the store.

No. 3 - Broward County prosecutors are examining the actions of a sheriff's deputy who slammed a pepper-sprayed teen's head into the ground.
Broward County State Attorney Mike Satz announced Monday that his staff will meet Tuesday with the 15-year-old student who had an altercation with two deputies. The deputies had responded to a fight Thursday outside a suburban Fort Lauderdale McDonald's where 200 students gathered. Sheriff's office reports say the 15-year-old picked up a phone belonging to a student being detained.
No. 4 - Sri Lanka's state minister of defense said Tuesday that the Easter attack on churches, hotels and other sites in the South Asian nation was "carried out in retaliation" for the shooting massacre at two New Zealand mosques last month.
The minister, Ruwan Wijewardene, told Parliament the government possessed information that the series of bombings in and outside of Colombo that killed more than 300 people was carried out "by an Islamic fundamentalist group" in response to the Christchurch attacks. He did not provide evidence.
No. 5 - California Sen. Kamala Harris joined the call for President Donald Trump's impeachment as five leading Democratic presidential contenders clashed in a series of prime-time town hall meetings that exposed deep divisions in a party desperate to end the Trump presidency.
Harris' unexpected support for impeachment follows Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren's push for Congress to begin the process to remove the Republican president following the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's redacted report — a plan all but certain to fail without significant Republican support.
No. 6 - In 2016, Odilio Moreira boarded up a house he bought in Goulds and shut down water service at the property. So you can imagine his surprise when he received a bill for nearly $4,400.
According to Odilio, the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department initially told him there had been a leak on the property and that even though the account had been closed, he was still on the hook for the usage – so he called NBC 6 Responds.
