Weather wise, the temperatures won’t be as high across South Florida but the heat and humidity stick around for several more days before a slight cool down – well, highs in the 80s – heading into the weekend.
No. 1 - Several victims of a bus crash in the Bahamas were transported in a military C-130 aircraft to South Florida, where they were treated for their injuries, fire officials said.
The aircraft arrived with four trauma patients at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as their injuries were too severe to be treated in the Bahamas. A shore excursion bus with 32 guests from Carnival Ecstasy crashed Monday morning near Rock Sound, Eleuthera, Carnival Cruise Line officials said.
No. 2 - A large brush fire was burning in the Florida Everglades in west Broward County. About 18,500 acres were burning about five miles west of U.S. 27 and 1.2 miles north of Interstate 75. Officials said it was 23% contained as of Monday night.
The fire started Sunday night and is being monitored by the forest service, which said northeast winds may put ash and smoke into southwestern Broward County.

No. 3 - A woman suspected of shooting and killing her 8-year-old daughter and stepfather in an apartment complex along Florida’s Treasure Coast has been taken into custody, authorities said.
Alyssa Torres, 29, was taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. Monday, Port St. Lucie Police officials said. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. Monday inside the complex in Port St. Lucie. Police later identified the stepfather as 54-year-old Felix Rivera. The daughter's name wasn't released.
No. 4 - Tiger Woods is no longer a defendant in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of a drunken driver who died in a car crash.
Attorneys for the parents of Nicholas Immesberger filed an amended complaint Friday in Palm Beach County court dropping Woods from the suit. The complaint still targets The Woods restaurant in Jupiter, in which the pro golfer is an investor
No. 5 - Vice President Mike Pence will be in Miami to launch President Trump's "Latinos for Trump" campaign. The move is an effort to engage Latino voters ahead of the 2020 presidential race.
No. 6 - We're just a day away from the first Democratic debates in the race for President. 20 candidates will face off at the Adrienne Arsht center in Miami on Wednesday and Thursday.
Some of the candidates are already in town and holding events today. NBC 6 will have special coverage on the debate starting Wednesday at 4 p.m.
