FBI Finds Person of Interest in Fatal Brinks Robbery

Terrance Brown found by authorities as reward reaches $100,000

A man who was sought by authorities for his possible involvement in last week's fatal robbery of a Brinks armored truck was located Monday, the FBI said.

Terrance Brown, 37, has been a person of interest in the Friday morning robbery that ended in a guard's death outside a Miramar Bank of America.

Brown has not been arrested or charged with a crime, the FBI said.

The news comes a day after the FBI identified the man who was arrested just after the fatal robbery.

Nathanial Moss, 31, of Miami Gardens was apprehended after he crashed a car into a dumpster while fleeing the scene.

Special Agent in Charge John V. Gillies said Sunday morning that the agency would also like to speak to Brown, also of Miami Gardens, and a third man seen on surveillance video wearing a University of Miami hooded sweatshirt.

He descibed Brwon and the other man as "very, very dangerous" and announced the FBI is contributing a reward of $25,000 to the $75,000 already pledged by Brinks for information leading to their capture.

The Brinks security guard was killed around noon Friday when his armored truck pulled up to the bank at 7950 Miramar Parkway near University Drive.

At least one of the thieves was armed when they stormed the truck in the robbery attempt. Shots rang out, and by the time police arrived, security guard Alejandro Nordarse, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to the head.

The alleged robbers attempted to flee in a car, but Moss was taken into custody when it crashed into a dumpster behind a nearby Pizza Hut, while the other two escaped..

The FBI has joined the Broward Sheriff's Office, Miami-Dade Police Department, and the Miramar Police Department in a joint investigation.
