A third student has come forward to claim she had inappropriate contact with a substitute teacher at Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes.
The charges are adding up against Carlos Javier Rojas Paz. The 25-year-old was already facing 13 counts of sexual battery on a victim 12 or older and under 18 by a custodian, in two earlier cases. He is now facing an additional five charges.
Rojas Paz first went before a judge last week, then again on Monday. Police say he's admitted to having sex with at least three underage girls, all of them students at Boyd Anderson, where he worked as a substitute teacher and athletic trainer.
The third victim told police she met Rojas Paz in early 2014 while he taught her Health and Wellness class.
Their relationship turned sexual after she suffered shin splints while training for track and field. Rojas Paz offered to assist in her rehabilitation with ice and massage.
According to the police report, as the treatments continued, their relationship and the massages became more sexual in nature. Rojas Paz would communicate with the victim via KIK messenger and tell her he was sexually aroused by giving her massages and he wanted to do things sexually to her.
Investigators say the two continued sexual conversations via KIK and on two occasions in May Rojas Paz picked her up and drove back to his apartment in Sunrise where they had sex.

Rojas Paz is now facing a total of 18 counts of sexual battery. On Monday, his bond was increased by $30,000 to $730,000, jail records showed. It was unknown if he has an attorney.
For parents the news is shocking.
"Disgusted, disgusted," said Jason Parker. "People are trusting you to teach their children... why are you? You shouldn't take advantage like that."
Police say this all started last Tuesday with a tip to the Broward County School District about Rojas Paz having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old student.
He was arrested two days later at his home and remains behind bars.
The Broward County School District released the following statement Tuesday: "The District continues to work closely with Broward District Schools Police, the Sunrise Police Department,and the Broward Sheriff’s Office regarding the ongoing investigation."
Police are urging parents to speak with their daughters and if they believe they may have come in contact with Rojas Paz, they are asked to contact the Sunrise Police Investigator that is assigned to this case directly at 954-746-3660.
