A fiery scene took place in North Miami Beach early Friday morning when a car crashed into a tree before splitting in two and bursting into flames.

Police have not released many details about the single car crash, which took place in the early hours near the intersection of NE 167th Street and 3rd Avenue. The car, reportedly a black Lamborghini, could be scene with the front end in a nearby parking lot and the rear end in the west bound lanes of 167th Street.

Two people were inside the vehicle at the time with neither suffering life threatening injuries after being rushed to area hospitals. The westbound lanes of 167th Street were closed as police continued their investigation.

"I saw the car on fire and in two pieces," said witness Pedro Huamchumo. "And I saw the guy get out from the car with fire on this arm and legs and he turned on the floor and he was screaming and the people called the police."

Police have said they can not confirm if alcohol or speed played a factor in the crash at this time.
