Doral Police are searching for the person they say stole over $50,000 worth of jewelry from a Miami International Mall store last week.
Surveillance video captured the man entering Mayor’s Jewelers on November 21st posing as a customer who wanted to upgrade his wife’s wedding ring. After being handed two rings from a clerk, the man fled the store and was unable to be caught by employees.
Officials believe this could be the same person wanted for a similar theft from a Zales store inside the Westfield Broward Mall in Plantation the week before, but would not confirm it.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Doral Police Department or Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers.
