Family of 9 Displaced in Lauderhill Fire

A family of nine was displaced from their Lauderhill home Friday morning following a fire in their garage.

Wildfires Rage Across Western United States

Fire officials said an SUV in the garage somehow caught fire and then quickly spread on NW 48th Court and 72nd Avenue.

The fire ripped through the garage of the one-story house and caused heavy smoke damage to the rest of the home, officials said.

No one was injured in the blaze.

It is unknown what started the blaze.

The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
