Oversized bunnies have arrived at Merrick Park in Coral Gables in time for Easter.

The eight rabbits were created by the REgeneration ART Project by Cracking Art Group. The group is a team of six European artists, who create public art out recyclable plastic.

They have been making large snails, turtles, penguins, birds and other animals since 1996.

The bunnies, each 9 feet 10 inches long, 5 feet 3 inches wide and 8 feet 10 inches tall, weigh 265 lbs.

The Cracking Art Group has been apart of 600 exhitibs all over the world. Their first appearance in America was in Dec. 2010 in Miami with their giant pink snails popping up around Miami.

The group is affiliated with Galleria Ca'd'Oro.
