Claudia Gattoni says her West Kendall beauty supply warehouse was wiped out by an expensive theft over the weekend.
“Well, they just took everything I had in my business. I mean I don't even know how to restart again,” she said.
Gattoni said hair care products that are worth $80,000 wholesale were taken from her warehouse on Sunday.
Somebody ripped off her most expensive hair care products called Keratin, she said.
“We are the only ones that import QOD and Kerapremium brands. The bottles will retail anywhere from 200 to 300 dollars at the hair salons,” she said. “It’s sold exclusively to hair salons.”
Hundreds of the expensive bottles of hair treatment were stolen. The suspect or suspects knew exactly what they were doing, Gattoni said, “because we just received a brand-new shipment on Tuesday from Brazil. The warehouse was loaded and on Sunday they just took everything.”
The not-so-expensive products were left behind, she said. Police are investigating.
Now, Gattoni’s warehouse is a mess. Many of the boxes and shelves are empty.
There are surveillance cameras in her warehouse park near Tamiami Airport. Gattoni said she is hoping one of them captured the thieves – but fears her hair care products are long gone.
