Infant in Distress Flown to Miami From Cruise Ship in Bahamas

A 10-month-old was airlifted to Miami after the infant began having difficulty breathing on a cruise ship in the Bahamas, the U.S. Coast Guard said

A 10-month-old was airlifted to Miami after the infant began having difficulty breathing on a cruise ship in the Bahamas, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

The infant was aboard Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas moored in Coco Cay when it began having difficulty breathing Sunday night, the Coast Guard said in a statement.

A Coast Guard helicopter transported a medical team to the ship to assist in stabilizing the infant, who was flown to Miami Children's Hospital.

The infant's condition was unknown.
