Deputies are investigating after a man was fatally stabbed late Monday night in Oakland Park.
Broward Sheriff's Deputies were called to the home, located at 116 Northwest 41st Street in Oakland Park, at around 11:30 p.m.
Once deputies arrived, they found the man, identified as 25-year-old Chrislet Ondina, conscious but stabbed multiple times and rushed him to the hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly before 1 a.m.
Javier Umana, a close friend of the victim, tells NBC 6 that he knew the man - who went by the nickname "Zoe" - for more than a decade.
"I seen him yesterday, the last time," Umana told NBC 6. "He told me he was going to be right back but, there is no back. He's gone."
