Man in Red Shirt, Shorts Robbed S. Dixie Highway Bank: FBI

He may have left in a red sedan, the agency said

The FBI is searching for a man it says robbed a U.S. Century Bank on South Dixie Highway in Miami Friday morning.

The suspect, who wore a red shirt and shorts, entered the bank at 8201 S. Dixie Highway and demanded money from an employee at about 11 a.m., the FBI said.

He took an undisclosed amount of money and no one was injured, the federal agency said.

The robber may have left the bank in a red sedan, the FBI said.

Authorities Still Searching For "Backpack Bandit"

It urged anyone with information on the robber’s identity to call the FBI at 305-944-9101 or Crime Stoppers.

Meanwhile, in Miami Beach, a bank robbery was attempted at 901 W. 41st Street on Friday but the suspect was arrested on a bus, police said. That location, on what is also called Arthur Godfrey Road, is the site of a BB&T branch.
