One suspect was killed in a police-involved shooting in Kendall Tuesday.

The shooting was reported around noon in the 10500 block of Southwest 108th Avenue. Officers responded to the Kendallwood Villas condominiums after Federico Osorio, 20, threatened to kill his mother with a knife, Miami-Dade Police said.

Osorio behaved in an aggressive manner towards the officers, who deployed their Tasers, although it was unclear if they made contact with Osorio, police said.

After Osorio armed himself with knives, at least one officer shot him, police said.

Police were not injured in the confrontation.
