An argument  between two men inside the Mia at Biscayne Lounge in downtown spilled out into the street around 4:30 a.m., according to police.

Police said it all started when one of the men pulled a gun on the other and shot him several times outside the club at 20 Biscayne Blvd.

The victim of the shooting was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is in stable, but critical condition. The officer wasn't injured.

Police are now searching for the suspect, described as a white male, about 5'9". Police said he took off from the scene in a black 4-door Mercedes -- possibly a C-230 model -- and it may have damage to the window.

The victim of the shooting was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is in stable, but critical condition. The officer wasn't injured.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
