Shortly after a Coral Springs woman visited a bank on University Drive on Friday at around 1 p.m., she disappeared.

Now, they are asking for help in finding her.

According to a statement released to the public, Coral Springs Police say that Maria Claudia Murphy made the transaction at the Bank of America branch located at 1401 University Drive.

She was last believed to be seen walking eastbound across US 441 at Copans Road in Margate about an hour later.

Since then Murphy and her black 2005 BMW convertible have been missing and she has not been heard from.

Police say they have reason to believe she may be in danger but would not give any further details.

They are asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to call Detective Chris Collins at 954-346-1262 or call the Coral Springs Police Department at 954-344-1800.
