A skydiver has been hospitalized after sustaining head injuries during a jump in central Florida.
Authorities say 30-year-old Aline Leao of Brazil was involved in an accident near the DeLand Airport at about 10:15 a.m. on Friday.
Police say Leao had done more than a dozen jumps before but experienced a problem as she got to just above tree level on the way down.
Leao reportedly cut her chute and dropped about 30 to 40 feet to the ground.
She was transported to Halifax Hospital. The investigation remains ongoing.
