Three trailers caught fire in southwest Miami-Dade Friday night, in a massive blaze that left thick clouds of smoke billowing into the sky.

Officials said they also heard explosions during the fire, possibly due to propane tanks in the area. The flames erupted near southwest 119th Avenue and southwest 224th Street, officials said.

Omari Affleck, a resident in the surrounding neighborhood, described the intense heat he felt.

"The only thing I can just think about is the safety for the whole community where I stay at and I'm just glad the paramedics are here on time," he said.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to extinguish the blaze just after 10:35 p.m. It is still unclear what caused the fire, but authorities say no one was injured in the incident.
