Neighbors, police and local church members gathered in Overtown Thursday night for a "Walk for Justice" in the wake of the shooting death of two children.
Members of the group went door-to-door handing out flyers in hopes of finding those responsible for the senseless murder of 10-year-old Marlon Eason and 16-year-old Richard Hallman.
The walk began at St. Agnes Episcopal Church.
Miami Police said they're taking a "do all that is necessary" approach to solve the crimes, which happened Tuesday night.
"I was filled with rage, then disappointment and then deep sadness because a 10-year-old has lost his life to senseless violence," Miami Police chief Rodolfo Llanes said.
The murder of Eason particularly hit close to home. He played on the Miami Police Athletic League basketball team.
"Everybody is to the point that enough is enough, we're here to pound the pavement and try and resolve this, everybody wants to resolve this," Officer Frederica Burden said. "We have families, we are parents, so some of us have 10-year-olds. So it does, it's close to home and it hurts."

Another "Walk for Justice" is planned for Friday in Allapattah, where Hallman was shot.
"It's been hard, I can't even sleep at night, I can't even eat at night, I'm in a denial stage," Hallman's mother said at Thursday's walk.
