The woman, who didn't want to be identified, said she was stopping for donuts on her way to work when she somehow drove her 2012 BMW into the front of the Hess station.
A woman making an early morning donut run turned a gas station into a drive-thru when she slammed her new car into the store in North Bay Village Thursday.
The incident happened sometime before 9 a.m. at the Hess station at 1508 79th Street.
The woman, who didn't want to be identified, said she was stopping for the tasty breakfast treats on her way to work when she somehow drove her 2012 BMW into the front of the store.
"I thought I was braking, and I was accelerating, and the car just flew right in," the woman said.
She added that she thinks her mat got stuck under the pedals. She had only gotten the car three months ago.
No one was injured and police are investigating the incident. There was no word on whether the woman would be ticketed.
"It happened so fast that the only thing that went through my head was 'oh my God, I hope everybody's okay, I hope nothing happened to anyone,'" the woman said.
