Prostitute-Gate is over.

OK, so now Dolfans can go back to hating GM Jeff Ireland for how he treated Jason Taylor.

Miami Dolphins' owner Stephen Ross has said he will not punish Ireland for asking new Dallas Cowboy receiver Dez Bryant if his mother was a prostitute during a pre-NFL Draft interview.

Ireland has already publicly and privately apologized for the question, but considering some of the recent PR disasters involving Ireland, some thought Ross might deliver a heavy-handed blow, like making him wear a "Dez for Prez" T-shirt or carve the number "88" in his head.

"I have looked int the matter of Jeff Ireland and the questions asked of former Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant and I have spoken to many people in and outside our organization who were directly involved and indirectly involved," Ross wrote. "Jeff Ireland is a man of great capability and integrity and he is well deserving of my continued confidence. I consider the matter closed."

Ross doesn't seem to buy into rumors that Ireland's line of questioning was logical after Bryant made a reference to his father being a pimp. A Sports Illustrated article claims Bryant's pimp daddy remark is what sparked Ireland's interest in the oldest profession in the world.

This is how the question-and-answer portion went down according to SI.

Bryant: "My dad was a pimp."

Ireland: "What did your mom do [for a living]?"

Bryant: "She worked for my dad."

Ireland: "Your mom was a prostitute?"

Bryant: "No, she wasn't a prostitute."

Noticed no punches or chairs were thrown.

Bryant, who attended Cowboy mini-camp on Friday, said he has put the issue in his rear view mirror and denies ever calling his pops a pimp.

Meanwhile, Ireland is busy figuring out which special teams or practice squad player to give No. 99 to this season.

It's so great to have football season back.
