The agent for cornerback Antonio Cromartie confirms that the San Diego Chargers have fined his client $2,500 for using Twitter to complain about the food at training camp.

The offending tweet apparently equated the food quality with the Chargers' failure to reach the Super Bowl in recent seasons. Agent Gary Wichard said Tuesday that he had seen a paraphrased version of the offending tweet and added that he is a staunch anti-tweeter.

Cromartie was not available for comment; Chargers' officials said the situation was an internal matter. The fine was first reported by profootballtalk.com.

The cornerback is not the only Bolt who is tweeting these days. After a night out on the town last mongth, a misspelled Twitter post attributed to Bolts linebacker Shaun Phillips read, “Me and my fabulous yet gorgeous yet magnificent yet undeniably beautiful soon to be finance Khloe Kardashian are have a wonderful night out.”

The Twitter post has since been taken down, but that has not stopped fans in both camps from talking about it.

In response to the Internet buzz, Kardashian tweeted that she wanted to set the record straight, providing a link to her Web site, on which she denied any romantic involvement with Phillips: “The thought of DATING him is so weird LOL."
