Angry Patient Floods Doc's Office Over Prescription Pill Refill

Man was angry he his health coverage only paid for 12 pills instead of 20

Forget health insurance. We hope a South Florida doctor's office has flood insurance.

An angry patient at the Heart & Family Health Institute in Fort Pierce took out his frustration on the building after he was told his health insurance had cut the number of pills he could get in a refill.

After hearing the news, 47-year-old Randall Evans stormed out of the office through the stairwell, reports TCPalm.com.

There, he found the water valves for the fire suppression system and turned them on full blast. Next thing people knew, the fire alarm blared and a floor was flooded.

The building was evacuated, but some of the disabled patients couldn't make it out because Evans' actions also sent water cascading down the elevator shaft.

All this because Evans couldn't get his normal 20 pill prescription refill. His health insurance limited him to 12.

Evans was eventually found at his home and admitted to taking a watery revenge on the clinic. He was arrested on charges of causing a false alarm for a fire and two counts of criminal mischief.
